Blidworth at Nottinghamshire County Show

Blidworth Welfare Band entertained crowds of people attending the 2018 Nottinghamshire County Show in Newark on 13th May with a programme for all including paying tribute to the 75th Anniversary of the Dambusters Raid and the Centenary of the Royal Air Force with a rousing rendition of The Dambusters March.

The concert featured Flugel Horn player, Sara Baldwin who performed Peter Graham's 'Follow the Flame'; Principal Cornet player, John McMurran performing 'Share My Yoke' and Principal Euphonium player, Andrew Baldwin (pictured) performing Karl Jenkins' 'Lament'.

Movie music from Born Free, Batman & The Student Prince were accompanied with up tempo numbers including Celtic Fire, Caravan, Valero and With Fire and Sword.

The concert culminated with John Miles' Music before leaving the crowd of listeners with their encore 'Joy, Peace and Happiness'.
